US magazine selects Lan Ha Bay among Southeast Asia's most beautiful places

New York-based travel journal Thrillist has named Lan Ha Bay within the northern metropolis of Hai Phong among the many ‘most lovely locations’ to go to in Southeast Asia.

“The bay itself is house to a number of hundred islands, of which Cat Ba is the most important. You may lease a ship to discover, or spend the day swimming,” the journal says.

Positioned to the east of Cat Ba Islands within the coastal metropolis of Hai Phong, round two hours from Hanoi, the 7,000-hectare bay is house to round 400 islands, all of them lined with timber and different vegetation.

There are nicely over 100 resorts within the neighborhood.

One of many greatest highlights in Lan Ha Bay is the Cai Beo fishing village, stated to be the oldest of its type in Vietnam and thought of a residing museum of Vietnamese fishing tradition.

The floating village, with round 300 households, consists of dozens of homes that float on inexperienced clear waters.

Different locations in Southeast Asia that appeared on the checklist had been Kelimutu National Park in Indonesia, Kampong Ayer in Brunei, Kuang Si Falls in Laos, Tun Sakaran Marine Park in Malaysia, Banaue Rice Terraces within the Philippines, Gardens by the Bay in Singapore, Angkor Wat in Cambodia, Bagan historic metropolis in Myanmar and Chiang Mai in Thailand.
