We just got back from an incredible trip with Kelvin, and boy, do we have stories to tell! If you're looking for a fun, hassle-free way to explore Southeast Asia, this guy in Hanoi have got you covered. First off, let's talk about their small group tours - 8 pax. We were a bit worried about being stuck with a huge crowd, but nope! Our group was just the right size big enough to make new friends, but small enough to feel personal. It was like traveling with a bunch of cool new buddies. The service? Excellent doesn't even begin to cover it. From the moment we landed in Hanoi to our teary goodbyes, the Indochina Treks team had our backs. They were always one step ahead, making sure everything ran smoothly. Lost luggage? No problem. Craving some weird local snack? They knew just the spot. We all loved John - our tour guide in Hanoi. This guy was a pro through and through. He knew everything about everywhere we went. But more than that, he was just fun to be around. Always cracking jokes, telling interesting stories, and making sure everyone was having a great time. We got to see and do so much more than we ever could have on our own. From slurping pho in Hanoi's bustling streets to watching the sunrise over Angkor Wat, every day was an adventure. And the best part? We didn't have to stress about a single detail Indochina Treks had it all sorted. read less

Their in-depth knowledge of Vietnam, Cambodia, and Laos 🇱🇦 allowed us to explore off-the-beaten-path destinations we might have otherwise missed. In Luang Prabang - Laos, we loved the trekking tour through dense jungle then went kayaking down the Nam Ou river and visit local villages along the way. Vietnam, a beautifull country with a lot of things to explore. We liked trekking tour to hidden villages @ Sapa with homestay, impressive caves in Phong Nha, amazing Hoian ancient town (we spent 4 nights here). We also loved vibrant Hanoi and peaceful cruise on Bai Tu Long bay. We did not spend much time for Cambodia but it's so nice too. Angkor wat and other temples were so magnificent. We marveled at the intricate carvings and grand architecture. The ancient civilizations brilliance left us in awe. Overall, we had an absolutely fantastic trip! We are filled with great memories and I was sad to leave it and back to work 😕 read less

Communication was so easy and all were very well organized. I loved the tour and here our comments: Hanoi: what's a vibrant city. We stayed 2 nights here for foodie tour and also a city tour by scooter. Liked all things here: foods, train streets, the lake, atmostphere. We stayed at a small boutique central hotel - very helpful and tentative staff. Sapa: we travelled by train from HN - Laocai by overnight train and back to Hanoi by luxury mini van. the train was clean and confort. We requested private cabin for just 2 of us. It's long and noisy but good to experience. The trekking tour off the beaten path with homestay was really great. We loved the scenery, lovely homestay @ friendly Tay ethnic family. Halong bay: We did 3 day itinerary to the Bai Tu Long bay. It's less crowded, clean and peaceful. The cruise was just great: perfect food, informative guide, well planned itinerary. We were surprised when our room was larger than the one at the hotel. It's the highlight of our trip - good ending. I would love to send my sincere thanks to Kelvin Do, who did arrange this wonderful trip for us. I also do recommend him and his agent to anyone. read less

The crew members were friendly and courteous. Gifts in the form of a straw hat and and a fan awaited us on the bed. That was the beginning of more good times to come. There were too many special moments to mention them all. The food was delicious and thank you for taking my dietary requirements seriously. I was introduced to Tai Chi and was just getting the hang of it when the cruise ended. The excursions were ye opening. There was so much to learn about both the Vietnamese and Cambodian cultures. It was interesting to see how the food we eat daily is made, like noodles, rice cakes, rice wine and coconut products. Modes of transportation: tuk tuk, cyclos, but the ox-cart topped the list. As Voang said, he took us out of our comfort zone. The scarf demonstration was very interesting and thank you for the scarfs we were gifted. This is one of those experiences that you have to experience to understand how it feels. Thank you Heritage Line. The experience was like no other. read less

But the 8 day cruise down the Mekong River on the Jayavarman exceeded my expectations. The ship was not as large as some of the major companies' ships, so it felt a lot more intimate. Yet it was large enough to be able to provide the amenities which have become de rigueur - pool, spa facilities, lots of food selections, bar, relaxation spaces. The crew were exceptional. Nothing was too much trouble for them if you needed assistance. Every crew member performed their duties with enthusiasm and diligence. The trips to local villages were varied and informative. One particular highlight was a visit to a local school. It was delightful to see students so engaged and to have fun playing games with them. And with every excursion we used a different local form of transportation - eg tuktuk, oxcart, cyclo, riverboat. It was fascinating to see the various communities along the river. I was sad to leave the ship at the end of tge cruise - it was a very special holiday for me. read less

I will definitely do this again some day and sail the whole 8 days. Crew was amazing, Loved the ship, great food and service. They went above and beyond when I had Vietnam Visa issues. The excursions felt very unique and immersive. There was a visit to a local school to meet the children. I did not know that was coming and I had wished that I had brought some gifts from home. (books, games, etc.) I recommend bringing something fun for the kids if you make this visit. Definitely the highlight of the trip. read less

We can honestly say that this was the most amazing holiday we’ve ever had. The ship is beautifully furnished and decorated in Indochine style, the cabins and public areas are comfortable, spotlessly clean and very relaxing. The daily excursions organised by Heritage Line were interesting, with so much to learn about the history, landscape, people, food and contemporary culture of both countries. We visited local villages, markets and temples, including cooking sessions in small private homes. The company supports local communities and projects and apart from a full day in Phnom Penh, all the places we stopped at were not aimed at tourists, so we felt we got a true taste of Cambodian and rural Vietnamese life. The on-shore tour guides were full of fascinating information and brought each excursion to life. However, what made the trip so special was the crew. Every single member of staff from the captain and sailors, to the housekeeping staff, the front desk staff ans restaurant/bar staff was highly professional and also very friendly. It’s clear that they are trained to the highest standards, but also that they really enjoy working as a team and love their jobs. They quickly learned the passengers’ names and preferences for drinks or how we liked our food and were a pleasure to chat with. The daily menus had something to suit all tastes and was fresh, attractively presented and cooked to perfection. We would recommend Heritage for anyone wanting to explore the Mekong by boat. Thanks to everyone who made our trip one to remember for years to come. read less
