We just got back from an incredible trip with Kelvin, and boy, do we have stories to tell! If you're looking for a fun, hassle-free way to explore Southeast Asia, this guy in Hanoi have got you covered. First off, let's talk about their small group tours - 8 pax. We were a bit worried about being stuck with a huge crowd, but nope! Our group was just the right size big enough to make new friends, but small enough to feel personal. It was like traveling with a bunch of cool new buddies. The service? Excellent doesn't even begin to cover it. From the moment we landed in Hanoi to our teary goodbyes, the Indochina Treks team had our backs. They were always one step ahead, making sure everything ran smoothly. Lost luggage? No problem. Craving some weird local snack? They knew just the spot. We all loved John - our tour guide in Hanoi. This guy was a pro through and through. He knew everything about everywhere we went. But more than that, he was just fun to be around. Always cracking jokes, telling interesting stories, and making sure everyone was having a great time. We got to see and do so much more than we ever could have on our own. From slurping pho in Hanoi's bustling streets to watching the sunrise over Angkor Wat, every day was an adventure. And the best part? We didn't have to stress about a single detail Indochina Treks had it all sorted. read less

Their in-depth knowledge of Vietnam, Cambodia, and Laos 🇱🇦 allowed us to explore off-the-beaten-path destinations we might have otherwise missed. In Luang Prabang - Laos, we loved the trekking tour through dense jungle then went kayaking down the Nam Ou river and visit local villages along the way. Vietnam, a beautifull country with a lot of things to explore. We liked trekking tour to hidden villages @ Sapa with homestay, impressive caves in Phong Nha, amazing Hoian ancient town (we spent 4 nights here). We also loved vibrant Hanoi and peaceful cruise on Bai Tu Long bay. We did not spend much time for Cambodia but it's so nice too. Angkor wat and other temples were so magnificent. We marveled at the intricate carvings and grand architecture. The ancient civilizations brilliance left us in awe. Overall, we had an absolutely fantastic trip! We are filled with great memories and I was sad to leave it and back to work 😕 read less

Communication was so easy and all were very well organized. I loved the tour and here our comments: Hanoi: what's a vibrant city. We stayed 2 nights here for foodie tour and also a city tour by scooter. Liked all things here: foods, train streets, the lake, atmostphere. We stayed at a small boutique central hotel - very helpful and tentative staff. Sapa: we travelled by train from HN - Laocai by overnight train and back to Hanoi by luxury mini van. the train was clean and confort. We requested private cabin for just 2 of us. It's long and noisy but good to experience. The trekking tour off the beaten path with homestay was really great. We loved the scenery, lovely homestay @ friendly Tay ethnic family. Halong bay: We did 3 day itinerary to the Bai Tu Long bay. It's less crowded, clean and peaceful. The cruise was just great: perfect food, informative guide, well planned itinerary. We were surprised when our room was larger than the one at the hotel. It's the highlight of our trip - good ending. I would love to send my sincere thanks to Kelvin Do, who did arrange this wonderful trip for us. I also do recommend him and his agent to anyone. read less

Firstly, we are delighted that, on the advice of our travel agent, we opted for Lan Ha over Ha Long Bay. Visiting this area is incredibly popular and there are a huge number of ships. Going to Lan Ha makes for a much quieter experience. You really get to enjoy the scenery rather than being surrounded by other cruise ships. Secondly, there is an enormous choice of cruise companies. However, what was special about being on board the Ginger was the personalised experience with far fewer cabins and a relatively new ship. On board the crew delivered a great service. Highly professional and super friendly they went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Particularly thanks to James, the manager, and the incredible Anna. This was a really special two days and we only regret not staying on board longer. read less

That was most welcome because the weather was bad - chilly, grey and raining much of the time - early morning tai-chi on the deck in the rain was a memorable experience! Nevertheless, the charm of the staff and the quality of the catering made up for a lot! The scenery was, of course, stunning - what one could see of it through the gloom. The only weakness for us was the rather uninteresting excursions. The village by bike was pretty ordinary and the following day's hike through Cat Ba National Park not really worth the effort. Perhaps it was simply an unwise decision to visit at that time of year. read less

I have heard many horror stories from my friends complaining about their cruise experience so I was extra careful when deciding which cruise to go with. I must say that Heritage did not disappoint but also exceeded all my expectations. I felt welcomed and at ease right from the beginning at check-in. The manager of the Ylang cruise, Joy, was extremely helpful. I especially liked how accommodating and humble she was. During the welcoming orientation, she told us that for the next three days this was “your home” and it did feel like that. We were supposed to do this cruise during the first leg of our Vietnam trip but it didn’t pan out due to a typhoon. So we had to make our way back up. The office upgraded up to the suite for this inconvenience. Every day, we started our day with a carafe of juice. The amenities in our suite were top notch. There was a jacuzzi and a balcony. If I were to do the trip again, I would definitely choose the suite. All the staff members were nice and they kept the place spotless. During the entirety of the cruise, the manager Joy and assistant manager Ann assisted us through out. They constantly filled us in with important information and the day’s itinerary. We did the national park hike one day, kayaking to the beach and visiting a local village. The moments we shared were memorable. My friend wanted to bike in the village more and the manager accommodated his request without flinching. To me, that is exemplar of excellent customer service. All the staff members at the restaurants were eager to help. Though the managers were the integral part of a successful cruise, the support staff’s hard work behind the scenes should not go unnoticed. All in all, I am extremely happy with Heritage. I couldn’t recommend this tour more for someone who is considering coming to Ha Long Bay. read less

Everything was amazing - the service, the food, the views. The cabin was pure luxury and the staff went out of their way to make sure we were all looked after and our dietary preferences were taken care of! A small ship with 12 cabins makes the experience personal and well curated. Our kids especially enjoyed the squid fishing and kayaking! Quan, James, Iris and spiderman were especially amazing! Thanks so much for a great experience. read less
